These pack down as well as my other big name brand rain pants but the 4 way stretch on these are awesome. I used to dread having to wear rain pants because of the lack of movement and breathability but these breath pretty well and move a lot better than other kinds

Had the chance to finally break this in! Hit the AT in Virginia and a little rain started coming in on us the afternoon of day 2. Temps in mid 50s in the mountains but with that wind, felt much colder. I wore the jacket over my Ridgeline Tee while hiking and it fit and worked great with pack while moving. I left my sleeve cuffs open and with my arms on my trekking poles, the little breeze up this thing combined with leaving it open around my bino harness, kept me comfortable on the move. Hood was so good and keeping rain off my beanie and face as drips off the brim never touched me. I'm 6'2" 210 and wear a large and it fits perfect. For the pants, as the rain picked up and we were about an hour from dark, we'd been in our Frontier Light 2.0 pants and the heavier rain was starting to hold to the pants so we stopped and put these pants on. ONE negative for me, was they fit a little too tight in the hips which caused me to be careful how I moved when squatting or climbing so I would split em open. They are also a little too short for me (again, I'm wearing large). BUT, the ankle cuffs are perfect, and the fit in the waist and through the thighs and legs is perfect so I wouldn't want an XL. Just seems the design proportions are off a little in these. Here's what I LOVED though. While at Camp that evening and setting up the tent, I was on my knees a lot on the wet ground setting up my sleep system and then cooking dinner in the dark under a head lamp. The water NEVER soaked through my knees. I never got even an ounce of wet anywhere while taking the rain all over my back, kneeling on the soaked ground, blocking my stove from the wind and rain. Great outer layer system overall!
