Needs improvements to support larger busts
I was excited to see that Born Primitive released a nursing bra and rushed to order one. It’s gorgeous- I love the colors and the cute straps. I also found the band side to be true-to-size. However, as a larger busted athlete, I found the material to not be supportive enough to hold my breasts even though they technically fit. Everything kind of spilled out to the side, which doesn't look great under clothes. It also seemed like the removable pads weren’t scaled to bra size, so I had these very visible circles at the middle of each boob, even through clothes. Unfortunately, the material was too thin to think about wearing the bra without the pads. Finally, in a custom built nursing bra, I was really disappointed to see the Velcro strap through the fabric loop. Brooks uses this model in their bras and so their bras have always worked as nursing bras, but the Velcro has always been sticky on the fabric and it’s a feature people always complained about although accepted since it was basically being used to hack the bra into a nursing bra. I would love to see in future updates of this bra that the Velcro strap go through a plastic D ring or something so that it’s easier to work with one-handed. I can see in your response to other reviews that you will say you can learn this over time, but after years of working with a similar system in another bra, I know it will never be as easy as it could be. I would love to hear that when designing the update to this bra that you work with…

Thank you so much for your review! We are doing our best to design a hybrid sports bra/nursing bra. While we did have one mom help design it, we had multiple mothers of all different shapes and sizes try them out before putting them into production. With athletes in mind we chose to stay away from the D-Ring, to prevent injuries when cleaning, push press, thrusters (anything front rack). You can reach always reach out to customer service if you are ever in need more bra pads, or in this case to try a larger size. :) We actually had a mother send in a video doing it one-handed while pretending to hold her baby, but definitely takes some practice. We truly do appreciate your feedback and will always take it into consideration for future product developments.
