These are the best pants I have ever bought. I really don’t say that lightly. I go through work pants like toilet paper. These hold up amazingly well. I work construction so they go through it and I still have all the pairs I bought almost a year ago now. I really appreciate the built in knee pads just makes life so much easier. Highly recommend. I wear them hiking to they are just the best pants. They fit great and the vents on the sides are awesome! Great for honestly anything. Only thing I would say is if you are relying heavily on the waist velcro it does start to wear out so I would try to buy your exact waist size. I was able to sew it back on my pants and it was fine after that. This only happened on the first pair I bought because I got a size up. But yeah buy them!

I've had these 6 months and use them most often. Time to get another pair. I've been doing weekend backpacking with them. I've been most grateful to have them when I need to bushwhack or scramble. Last weekend I was in a nasty spot and had to "glissade" down an awful scree slope, and boy was I happy to have that butt patch! I've done that before in Columbia combos and had holes through them and rocks in uncomfortable areas. Snow and mud sluff off nicely and they dried super fast when I had to wade. After day 3 they still look good and don't smell. No tears or snags after a couple hundred miles of high altitude back country.

I'm difficult to fit, as I get older I'm more shaped like a trunk than a girl. The size 4 was great, waist is snug but it's forgiving in the hips and thighs and makes me look girly again.

I gave 4 stars because it's hard to get my phone out of the thigh pockets and I can't use the top pockets because they're just under the bottom of the hip belt on my pack.

I'm also really happy that the tall is really tall for real! And love the boot cut. Except for the pocket problem (which is just minor annoyance) it's like they're made for me in all my weirdness.

I really like these pants. They fit really well. I have trouble finding tactical pants where the thighs are big enough and the waist is small enough. If they fit in the thighs, then the waist is huge. These are perfect for my muscular thighs. The side vents are really nice. I've wore them to the range once already and they were great. I would say they're true to size. Initially I read some reviews that Born Primitive runs small, but I've found the tactical pants to be true to size. Additionally, I really like the front cargo pockets.
